Peak Season:
Goa is blessed with 10 hours of sunshine every day, and average temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees C. While Goa certainly won’t be for people who don’t like the sun, May is hottest month of the year and a popular time to visit. Cheap flights to Goa aren’t common, but the price of your flight tickets should be cheaper between October and April. The weather is a little bit more tolerable and more events take place. In February you can experience the Food and Culture Festival, which is focused on traditional Indian food. December hosts Sunburn, a electronic dance and music event and even has some of the world’s best DJs.
Off Season:
While cheap flights to Goa are normally found from October to April, it has been increasingly popular to visit during the monsoon season. It starts to build up in June and runs through until September, July being the wettest month of the year. Many tourists are flocking to experience this extreme weather so you might find your flights to Goa more expensive. Its advisable not to travel during the monsoon season as it can be more dangerous as the weather does get very extreme.
Book your flights to Goa between October and May for the best chance of saving some money, however make sure to book well in advance if you’re attending any of the festivals or events which take place. Flights to Goa tend to creep up over the warmest months of the year, despite the monsoon season. If you aren’t set in stone with your dates, flexibility will allow you to choose a time and day that best suits your finances, but again, make sure to book in advance to give yourself the best savings.

Departure was late. Plane much too small for an 11 hour flight. One bathroom was out of order in a completely full flight.

Goa International Airport is the major gateway for the state of Goa on India’s western coast. A tourist magnet, it is renowned for its spectacular beaches, world-heritage architecture and temples.
Although small, there are between 30 and 40 daily flights to Goa International Airport, with most flights arriving in the afternoons from elsewhere in India. International flights are sporadic and mostly seasonal.
There are two terminals. The domestic terminal was constructed in the early 1980s and the international in the mid-1990s and both are managed as public works. There’s a basic selection of shops and eateries, although be prepared for minimal facilities and long queues at peak times. The good news is that a new integrated terminal is under construction, which, when complete, should help ease congestion.
